Unboxing and First Impressions
The EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus arrived in a sturdy box, a good first sign of quality. Inside, nestled in a custom-fit foam insert, was the unit itself. It's surprisingly compact and lightweight compared to the Delta 2 Max.

The included accessories were simple: a few cables (AC wall charger, car charger, and one other), and a quick-start guide. Everything was neatly secured with tape, preventing any shifting during transit.

Design and Features
The Delta 3 Plus boasts a sleek, modern design. All ports are conveniently located on one side, a significant improvement over my Delta 2 Max, which has ports scattered across multiple sides.

It features comfortable handles on both sides, making it easy to carry, even though it's quite heavy. The top has a digital display showing the battery level, charging status, and estimated runtime. The unit also includes buttons for controlling AC and USB outputs, and supports app control.

Performance and App Integration
The Delta 3 Plus offers fast charging (about 56 minutes to 80%), a useful feature for emergencies. The app provides comprehensive control, including charging speed adjustments to protect the battery, and also allows for monitoring of power usage and battery health.

Charging from a wall outlet was very efficient, reaching close to 1500 watts. Charging via car (12V) was slower, but a consistent ~100 watts over time.

Comparison with Delta 2 Max
Compared to my Delta 2 Max (2400W), the Delta 3 Plus (1800W) is significantly smaller and lighter, making it far more portable. The smaller footprint is a major advantage for van dwellers or those with limited space.

While the Delta 2 Max has more power and capacity, the Delta 3 Plus's compact size makes it more practical for many users. The Delta 3 Plus’s improved port placement is another bonus.

Real-World Usage and Conclusion
Over a weekend camping trip, the Delta 3 Plus powered my devices (phone, Switch) with ease, even while using an induction cooktop for two meals. While the cooktop drained the battery more significantly, it still performed as expected.

The fast charging, compact design, and ability to charge via AC and 12V power make the EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus a highly versatile and valuable power solution, particularly for those with mobile lifestyles. Overall, it's a great option, and the improved form factor makes it an excellent choice for smaller spaces and van life.
